About
Sekhmet:Its not certain weither Sekhmet is a powerful witch, the
mother vampire or a goddess. Whatever she is she is terribley powerful
and those that know of her existance fear her above all others. Her
personality is unstable at best. Whatever emotion shes feeling she
feels to an extream. Shes has little or no control over what she does
most of the time. Because of her volatile personality and the fact
that she is terribly powerful Sekmet must have a keeper. Also to make
sure her powers don't fall into the wrong hands, like The Midnight
Society.
Background
story:Over a thousand years ago a small village believed a great
goddess would be born. A girl who was born with pointed ears on the
new moon would have tremendous power. This child was born and power
she did have. Sacrifices were made in the child's name because the
villagers believed that the goddess would destroy their villages if
they weren't. They believed the child would bring the land prosperity
in exchange for the blood sacrifice. The child was fascinated by the
blood spilt at the ceremonies. So fascinated she became that she began
to drink the blood that was spilt.
As the girl grew
up she began to demand more sacrifices. The villages grew fearful
of her powers. Outrage grew as their goddess began killing villagers
to fill her lust for blood. They condemned the goddess as an evil
witch and banished her from the village telling her if she returned
they would burn her alive. The goddess felt lost and angry that her
people would abandon her. Using her powers she set fire to everyone
that denied her. She listened to them scream as the burnt into ash.
She then dug a
hole deep into the earth, under the ashes of her people with her bare
hands. She covered herself with dirt and fell asleep for a thousand
years.
It was a mortal
Hyde that found Sekhmet a thousand years later. He was wandering alone
in the woods when he came upon a place that seemed strange to him.
He noticed a strange rock that seemed to mark the earth so he began
to dig there. It was then he came upon a woman who seemed to be sleeping
covered in the earth. He uncovered her and tried to wake her. The
woman awoke with a start and bit his neck draining him if almost all
of his blood.
Sekhmet almost
left him to die but then she realized that if she gave him immortality
like herself he could stay with her forever and she could feel the
love she felt from her followers so many years ago. She made him a
vampire like herself, giving him the knowledge and the memories she
had of her life before.
It was on the
grounds where Hyde found Sekhmet that Mayfair Manor was built. Hyde
now watches over Sekhmet keeping her happy knowing that her displeasure
could be the end of everything..
Tasha's
comments:I had bought Sekhmets first head not knowing quite what
I was going to do with her. I painted her with no particular idea
in my mind but her character jumped out at me as I was painting. I
always thought Sekhmets first head, a Lishe, would make a good head
mold for Satine and so in the end thats what she ended up being. I
had bought the VDES head with the intention to sell it after I painted
it. I ended up liking her too much so she became Sekhmet. I really
like the heavy lidded sexy/evil kinda look the VESD head has.
